The Park was established in the Autumn of 2010, the goal is simple; to provide fresh, locally sourced food cooked by real chefs, top quality drinks at affordable prices, and a beautiful space to enjoy it all in.

“We want it to be a nice relaxing place to read the papers and have a drink or some food. I keep hearing stories about how many pubs are closing every week but not every pub is destined for failure. The pubs that are closing are closing for a reason and that’s usually because they aren’t moving with the times and they aren’t giving people what they want. If you serve great food and drink at the right price, people will come to you.”

“I’ve travelled all over the world and I want to bring a bit of that to my food. I dislike trends in pubs. Ten years ago it was all about Thai food in pubs which was really odd, then it went Modern British. Chefs tend to zoom in on the latest trends – fish and chips, bangers and mash, pies and the like. That’s great and I’m really excited that they are doing that, but when all the pubs are modern British, where can you go to get something that is a little bit different?”
